Omega-3 acids are necessary for developing good memory skills. Memory can be improved with omega-3, due to the brain's natural composition of these fatty acids. Try foods such as fish, salmon, and other oily fish.

Keep yourself hydrated. Because your brain is largely made of water, dehydration causes you to experience feelings of fatigue and an inability to remember things. Your recall speed and accuracy will suffer, and you'll have a hard time committing new information to long-term memory. Get about eight glasses of water each day to stay your sharpest.

When someone you know is affected by memory loss, attempt to be very patient and understanding when you are with them. It's very hard for them, and they don't need someone whose not understanding. You might be able to aid them if you stay patient with them.
